Presenting our best

Towards the end of December 2022, we had our annual Fort Knox Self Storage Christmas party at Rochelle in East Melbourne. The Christmas parties are extra special for our teams because they don’t normally get to catch up all together, as they work at different sites across Melbourne. We also use the Christmas party as an opportunity to present awards to some of our teams to acknowledge their positive achievements.

Good food, great friends.

A great time was had by all those who attended the 2022 Christmas event, which featured some amazing pizza and pasta meals, as well as some decadent deserts. The one thing that was enjoyed the most was the opportunity to catch up with friends and meet some new people. Whilst some staff get to know each other because they work across multiple sites, others don’t, so this was an opportunity to put a face to the phone voice and emails. Best of friends or complete strangers, everyone got along well and had a great time.

Prize time.

Each year we award prizes to the teams in a range of categories, including the most 5 star google review, as well as the best google review. This year the race for the most 5-Star reviews was very close between Coburg North and Keysbrough, with Keysborough winning by 1, at 56. The best Google review winner was Eltham, with a very detailed review from a very happy customer (Shown Below). Our teams all worked hard throughout the year and each of them really deserves an award. The number of detailed positive reviews we get each year for our facilities makes choosing just one really very hard.

Fort Knox Self Storage 197 Sherbourne Rd, Eltham VIC Lucy Holmes ***** Allowed us to sell our home with ease. We decided to pack and renovate our home mid 2021 so we could sell by the end of the year. The process was made much easier by renting a 3x4m space from Fort Knox in Eltham. The girls were great, finding us a suitable space within a day of asking and we were able to move right in. The shop sold excellent quality boxes, tape and all the other stuff needed to pack security. The green canvas bags were fabulous for soft toys and linens. We kept getting free tape when we bought the boxes! There was actually a whole free move in sample kit that we were given too! The boxes were super sturdy too, stacked well and were easy to label. I definitely will NEVER use anything other than proper boxes when moving. The goods lift and trolleys made it easy to take furniture into the unit and once it was in, it was safe and clean. There’s a good pest prevention program so we didn’t feel worried at all about leaving things there for months. When it came time to finish up, the process was easy and we could time it to save money by ending the contact at the end of a month. Originally, we had a free month so the whole cost was very reasonable! There’s a free van to use too, although we didn’t end up needing it. The venue has a clean bathroom and good lighting, key codes and easy parking. I saw the girls cleaning and sanitising many times too, very good Covid protocol. Got the feeling that there was a good degree of flexibility too if we need to extend our stay we could’ve paid prorata and if we needed to change our unit size that could’ve been done also. They’re very helpful at Fort Knox!! All in all, we are extremely satisfied with our time here and grateful that it made selling easier! Thanks so much!

This year there was also a fun Kris Kringle gift exchange. The teams really enjoyed sharing the gifts they had chosen for their friends, and the evening ended on a high note.
